CNY movies updates:
Milk: I promised Amelia to watch this film with her but due to the limited timeslots and cinemas showing, i watched it. Sorry! Back to the film. 1st of all, Senn Penn won an Oscar normination for Best actor and i was v.interested in finding out whether he deserve the normination; ans: No. Maybe i am not a qualify movie critics but seriously i dun think he deserves it! Leo should be norminated for his role in "Body of lies"! Ok, cool down, must be rational and not bias. BUT LEO SHD BE NORMINATED! Zzzz....
Story revolves around Senn's journey of becoming the first openly GAY being elected official. He faced lots of obstacles and when he finally sucessed, he was shot. (That's Life) Throughout the 126mins, i keep waiting for the super duper touching gay love that will make me cry like Brokeback. But i realised after 30mins that this is not going to happen. Thus i focus my attention on all the hotties inside the film such as James Franco (HE IS SO DAMN HOT) esp when he told Senn: " I don't date guys over 40yrs old". Haha. I want to eat him up. And then there's Emile Hirsch. I have no idea Emile Hirsch is Emile Hirsch in the movie. He looks so so so so different. It's like a total stranger. There is also Lucas Grabeel, whom i'm sure not much ppl take note of him but i do. Cus' he is sooooooo cute with his blonde hair. All in all, not up to my standard (Brokeback is still No.1) but if i count the cute guys in, it's worth half of the $8.50.
InkHeart: Whole story is around this guy (Brendan Fraser), who has the ability to to bring characters out of their books. But once a character from the book is out, another from the present world must go inside the book. V.interesting concept with lots of magical/fantasy illustrations. It's reminds me of Harry Potter minus the boring Harry and Dumberdore. I'm not really a fan of Brendan Fraser and frankly i am quite sick of keep seeing him in movie trailers and poster. (where are all the HOT hollywood actors like Josh, Jake and etc? COME OUT NOW!) Warning: Dun watch the trailer before the film, cus probably most of the exciting parts were already shown in it. What a spoiler trailer.
